FOUNDER AND OWNER - Gail Dutto
Just for Joy Tutoring was founded by Gail Dutto, an
experienced classroom teacher and tutor. Trained as a
developmental teacher, Gail uses an integrative, thematic,
brain-based philosophy of teaching. Hands-on activities,
visual prompts, games, art, music, and individual learning styles are incorporated into tutoring sessions. Lessons and assessments are customized for each and every student.
Gail has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human
Services and Counseling and a certificate in Environmental
Education. She is currently completing a Masters Degree
in Transformational Education (a holistic approach to
education). She has worked with youth of all ages since
1992, including work as a substitute teacher for Head Start.
In addition, Gail has also volunteered for the
Nevada County Land Trust summer camps.
